After a week of chilly rainy weather, the past week has been gloriously sunny! With the time change, the sun is up a little before seven and so that means our days are starting earlier. It always amazes me how our days are structured around the sun - that is a luxury of not having to get the little babe up and shuttled off to school early. Our rhythms are in tune with the sun. On the darker mornings before the time change, we stayed in bed reading until after 8am on some mornings, but now she is up and running before I really want to wake up! Since we loose the light by 5:30pm, I have to admit that it is hard to buckle down and do school work while the sun is shining so brightly on the lingering Autumn leaves and the grass is still so green. And so we explore in the morning, soaking up the waning sun, and then come home and hit the books in the afternoon. Pretty soon the cold will set in and we'll enjoy slower mornings by the fire, but at least for today, it is an another great morning for wandering and wondering!
Here are some photos from the past week.
