The past couple of days have been beautiful, perfect April days. We have been choosing our destinations wisely, looking for the areas with no other people. We started on a now familiar loop, but branched off to be adventurous. Luckily we did, because we discovered a beautiful new area - a low woodland with a meandering stream. The little babe is like a magnet with water. At every potential shallow sandy area she had to "check it out" and that was fine with me. More time spent in the woods is less time in the uncertain slightly scary world. I can't make her promises, but for now, I can give her freedom in the forest.
(The pretty flower is Hepatica.)
