Yesterday morning was a biting January icy blue cold kinda morning, not an end of Autumn nippy November cold morning. Over night, some flurries and arctic air blew in. While not the most comfortable shooting conditions, I do like taking pictures on mornings like that, so the little babe and I bundled up before feeding the dogs breakfast and headed outside.
The raspberries are officially done. The last day I picked was November 16th. Absolutely crazy. My fingers were numb by the time I had a full bowl. Apparently I should be picking up and pressing these apples for cider now, according to the tip sustainablemum told Emily at Front Forty Farm.
The little babe and her dog. Kind of hard to toss the toy when your hands are stuck in mittens, but she gave it her best shot.
While almost all of the trees have lost their leaves, this tree in our neighbor's yard is still blazing on gloriously.
The little babe had her first snow eating of the year. She wasn't too impressed.
Despite the uncomfortable cold that winter brings, we will still try to get outside every day and get our dose of fresh air and Vitamin D.
How about you? Are you ready to hibernate inside with books, crafts, and hobbies that don't require boots and balaclavas or are you looking forward to winter adventures?
