Last year for the little babe's first birthday, a family friend offered to make her a quilt. I was thrilled - what a fantastic gift! Between the two of us, it took a year, and at the little babe's second birthday party last Sunday, the quilt was unveiled. It is perfect! Simple and uncomplicated, yet fun and whimsical. *Disclaimer - I did none of the sewing on this quilt, I simply chose the fabric!
I chose organic fabric from MonaLuna's Havana line. I didn't want the quilt to be too flowery and girly and I didn't want it to have a baby theme. I mentioned that I had seen several patterns with circles that I liked and Linda suggested the Circles for Paige quilt. I thought it looked perfect.
There is a different pattern of stitching on each of the circles.
It is a really lovely, wonderfully constructed quilt. A usable piece of art. I think the little babe likes it too! A big thank you to Linda and her friend who did the quilting.
