Last weekend when we were in Portland, Maine, we visited the Portland Flea-for-All. This is a three story building packed with thrifted, vintage, and handmade unique items. It was raining outside and so poking around in here was the perfect way to spend an hour or two. We could have spent more time here, but a certain little babe was getting manic. I was hoping that she would sleep in her carrier but no such luck. However, she did not break anything and we did not get asked to leave, so that is a good thing. She was not wearing shoes because I intended to carry her, so we looked like negligent parents as she wandered around, playing in stairwells in her stocking feet.
A bluberry rake (can you imagine bending over for hours using this?!) and some cool letterpress letters. We thought about buying some to spell out our daughter's name, but it seemed a little frivolous since we are trying to simplify our material possessions. Plus - the letters are backwards, which might be a bit confusing!
Typical flea market stuff.
Some neat wall hangings for a child's room. The string art was really amazing.
My husband very nicely kept an eye on the little babe while I poked around.
Unique artwork by local artists. The photo on the left is of a lampshade made out of slides. Love the beer bottle openers.
And that's about enough, don't you think? Somebody certainly does. Those little red feet are blurry because they are being kicked furiously. Oh, the joys of having a toddler.
