Today I am thankful for...
a February snowstorm. I know, I know someone is probably wishing they could throw a snowball at me right now for saying that, but I just love waking up to fresh snow. And since I live in Pennsylvania, I guess I have to mention that Punxsutawney Phil predicted this - we are supposed to have six more weeks of winter (big surprise). If you want to see a bizarre ritual, watch this video. I have never seen footage from the event before and I have to say that I am pretty disgusted with it. That poor groundhog's heart rate has to be through the roof with the big crowd and cameras flashing in his face. I hope that groundhogs have poor eyesight and maybe he can't see most of it. Anyway, I am thankful for the beauty that fresh snow brings, the snowy walks that I had with the dogs and my little babe, and my husband for cheating on the Frugal 'Fun Budget' Calendar and bringing me a hot chai. Just what I needed when I came home covered in snow with a sleeping babe in her carrier. It was a snow day - we're allowed to have some fun!
(To find out what made these holes, you'll have to stop by next week for Reconnecting With Nature on Wednesday.)
I am also thankful that some planning, head scratching, and installing was going on at my always-under-construction home this weekend. And that the little babe was in the mix.
I welcome other bloggers to leave a link to their Thankful Tuesday post in the comments section below.
