This week was bitter cold. Luckily, the little babe and I didn't have to go anywhere, so we hunkered inside with our big sweaters on. We didn't even walk the dogs. When they come to the back door holding up a paw, I know they aren't going to make it around the block.
Wood, wood, lots of wood.
Homemade bread, warm, with butter. (Though the butter is like a rock because the inside of our house is so cold.)
We did venture out once on a sunny afternoon for a quick sled pull in the woods.
The dogs thought they were chasing something, but I don't know what was out in the cold!
Lots of time in the woodstove room for everyone.
Though Wallace our Romanian dog loves this weather and spends more time outside now than he does in the summer!
Since I wasn't walking the dogs each day, I had extra time for knitting in one of my favorite places.
It is supposed to warm up around here to regular winter temps, so things should get back to normal. Morning runs, daytime walks with the dogs, and not being so lazy. Though I think the homemade bread will definitely continue.
