My babe slept for two hours today, so I spent one hour cleaning and eating lunch and during the other hour I made her this dress. She had a onesie that was too wide for her - she is a petite little babe and some onesies are just too boxy. I could have just taken it to Goodwilll, but I have wanted some knit fabric to sew with for her, so I thought I would repurpose it. I cut off the bottom of the onesie at the waist. Then I made a pattern for the skirt panels and cut out 6 of those from some cute owl fabric and coordinating pink dots. I sewed those together and then attached them to the onesie. Then I sewed up the last two panels and did the hem. Pretty simple! It is slightly too big for her now, so she'll be able to wear it all winter and into next spring. Pretty good for just one hour!
