Today I am thankful for...
~outdoor adventures close to home. We visited two state parks in the past three days and only saw a handful of people at each one. Pretty good for being so close to a university town packed with people and growing every day. We are lucky to have this access - a quick drive to a secluded lake to check out the ice and beaver lodge, then back home by lunch time.
Beaver dam at Black Moshannon.
Ice breaking up at Whipple Dam.
Boggy area at Black Moshannon. Come spring we hope to see Tundra Swans.
Look closely - see the Red Squirrel stash?
Look closely - see the Bearded Man climbing?
We saw lots of beaver signs along the lake.
I am thankful for fresh air, snacks eaten beside the lake, quiet spaces to hear the moaning and cracking of ice, and new learning discoveries.
What are you thankful for today?
